We are hosting this breakfast as one of our equity initiatives to give students, faculty and the Gold Coast profession a great opportunity to celebrate women in law. The event serves to inspire our students as well as to support the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and the wonderful work that they do. Both men and women are invited to attend.

Olivera will be hosting a forum on Thursday 22/9/11 at 4pm on International Humanitarian Law and War. A film will be shown highlighting these important issues.

The Griffith University Student Law Association is hosting a forum for those who are interested in Judges’ Associateships.

Ms. Jaimie Wolbers, Associate to the Honourable Justice Philippides of the Supreme Court, and Mr David Thorpe, Associate to the Honourable Judge Rackemann of the District Court of Queensland will attend this presentation.

Information will be provided on the new application process for those who wish to become a JA. Since JA applications close 1-2 years in advance, this event is a must for anyone who is thinking of becoming a JA.

Coming off the back of an action-packed Careers Week, the S.O.S Party is the perfect place to unwind, catch up with friends, and ease your way back into another spin on the Law School merry-go-round.

Join us as we kick back with a cruisey afternoon session (starting at 4pm) on the river at Titanium, with free food and some great specials on offer. Later on at 7pm we’ll make our way over to Melbas (free entry) and welcome Semester 2 back with true GUSLA style!

We are raising money for Queensland Advocacy Incorporated, a community legal centre that provides legal advocacy for those with a disability. Please help us out by making a gold coin donation on the night.
